Which of the statements given above is/are correct ?

Statement 1 is incorrect. Nanoparticles exist in nature as well, for example, nanoparticles of volcanic ash, sea spray, and pollen.

Statement 2 is correct. Nanoparticles of some metallic oxides like zinc oxide and titanium oxide are commonly used in the manufacture of cosmetics, particularly in sunscreens and lotions.

Statement 3 is also correct. Nanoparticles of some commercial products, such as nanosilver and carbon nanotubes, can be harmful to humans and the environment if they are not properly contained and disposed of.
