Statement I: As per the Citizenship Act, 1955, a person born on or after 26th January, 1950 but before 1st July, 1987 outside India, shall be deemed to be a citizen of India by descent, if his/her father was a citizen of India at the time of his/her birth.
Statement II: As per the Citizenship Act, 1955, a person born on or after 1st July, 1987 but before the commencement of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2003, shall be deemed to be a citizen of India by birth, if either of his/her parents is a citizen of India at the time of his/her birth.
